Live Party/Event Caricatures

Drawing from an early age on any surface that presented itself, (much to the chagrin of most of his teachers throughout his academic career) in the late 1970’s Michael found his way to the “Cartooning and Graphic Story” program at Sheridan College in Oakville. There, spending your day drawing funny pictures of the instructors was considered not only acceptable behaviour, but mandatory! He has been freelancing ever since. His editorial cartoons and illustrations have been featured in numerous Canadian newspapers, including The Toronto Sun, The Toronto Star, The Scarborough Mirror. The Mississauga News and the Niagara Falls Review, as well as periodicals including “Parkhurst Exchange”, and “Doctors Review”. Michael’s original cartoons have been included in a major exhibition of Canadian editorial cartoons in the parliament buildings in Ottawa, in former mayor of Toronto Mel Lastman’s personal collection, and featured during a CBC television item on online editorial cartoons. Michael is available to do caricatures at live events, whether they be large public venues, or private parties.
Michael is a member of the Association of Canadian Editorial Cartoonists (ACEC).

Rates*	• US$130 per hour. • All prices U.S. dollars, see minimum times (above)
Speed**	• 10 to 15 people per hour, black & white, heads only. • 8 to 10 people per hour, black & white, with bodies.
Size	• 9x12 (max 2 per page)
Groups	• Up to 2 people in one drawing (takes the same time as separate drawings).
Media	• Pencil & light fast black or brown India ink marker on 80 LB acid free stock
Requires from Customer	• 2 or 3 chairs, good lighting, shade if outdoors.

and generally include Thanksgiving through New Years and 3-day weekends.
